I’ve segregated my Cream Legbar boy and three of his girls from the rest of the flock to prepare for an Easter hatching. You have to keep the girls away from other boys for four weeks prior to collecting their eggs for incubation to make sure that Chico is the father of the chicks. Unfortunately, Linda Looey hasn’t started laying yet so I thought it was too risky to put her in with them. They’re not happy because they can’t free range and she’s not happy because she can’t roost with her sisters. They are all making me feel really guilty but needs must.
