I ventured out to say hello to the chux before. Dewey, my youngest Legbar cockerel, ran over to me, grabbed my sleeve and jumped on my back. Probably not what the doctor ordered, but I appreciated his gesture. His brother was snatched from the coop on Sunday evening (they don’t know he went off to a nice new home) then I disappeared first thing Monday, so I guess he was feeling a little confused and neglected.
His big brother followed me round for a little, then Mimi, the middle one of my Black Orpington sisters, ran up for a quick cuddle.
Can’t wait until I’m fit enough to go out and sit with them properly.
