I sold another one of my Cream Legbar boys on Sunday to a nice farmer who lives not all that far away from Blondie’s new home. He was at a fair all day so didn’t arrive until 17:40 when it was pitch black, windy and rainy. All chux had gone to bed (I didn’t think Dave was going to be able to make it that night) so I couldn’t parade my boys as I’d hoped. Instead, I had to balance the torch, stick my hands in and see who I could grab. And so it happened to be Huey!
The following morning I had an early, planned start for an op so all responsibility for the chickens has been passed on to my other half for the foreseeable, including coop cleaning. Every cloud has a silver lining!
